More updates from The Best Of 2012 Gadgets

i'mWatch Smartwatch

The concept of a smartwatch isn't new, but the i'mWatch's execution certainly is, it's an Android-based watch with a 1.5-inch (240 x 240 pixels) curved colour touchscreen.

It pairs with your phone so that you can take calls on it, read messages and email, monitor the weather and your stocks, view photos, listen to music, download apps (it doesn't have access t the regular Android Market, but you can get special apps available through their own app store called the i'market) and check Facebook/Twitter, apart from telling the time of course.
It will be available in various colours but a price and launch date is yet to be confirmed.

Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga

Why do you need an Ultrabook when you could have the flip-and-fold Windows 8 tablet/laptop that is the clever Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga?
It's effectively four devices in one. You can use it as a standard 13.3-inch notebook or as a slate-style tablet. Flip the keyboard backwards and the screen stands up like a small monitor. Open it out in a triangle shape to use it in 'tent' mode.

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

This is where tablets really start to grow up when it comes to horsepower. The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime is the first Nvidia Tegra 3 tablet, which means quad-core processing and amazing graphics performance for a portable device. Somehow, it's also unbelievably thin and light, and comes in a bundle with keyboard dock for typing on the go. Eee Pad Transformer Prime review found that it had good battery life, a great screen and amazing performance, especially for games. It's probably going to be just the first step in what's to come for Tegra 3 tablets in 2012, but it'll be a hell of a way to start the year when it's released in January.
